The image above, taken by a user in Jerusalem, has illuminated the streets and the sky.
It’s a rare sight in Jerusalem where street lamps are rarely lit during the day.
This photo is a testament to the city’s beauty.
“It’s so bright,” said Shira Hamed, who snapped the photo.
“People are looking around and looking at the lights.
People are just looking and not looking.”
A number of residents in Jerusalem have been taking selfies with the light, as it has been lit up to night by the lights of the Jerusalem Temple Mount.
“The lighting of the Temple Mount has become a symbol of the city and of the people, it has become this symbol of Jerusalem,” said Mohammed Abu-Nadir, a photographer for Al Jazeera.
“We see this every year, but it’s become a very special time in the city, a special time to do something special.”
Abu-Saleh said it was an important moment in the history of the capital.
“There is no one in Jerusalem who has ever seen this before, and I think that’s what makes it special,” he said.
“You don’t see this on a daily basis, and this is a very important moment.”
