LONDON — The Smithsonian’s newest and most important exhibit in Africa will be illuminated with the sun for five nights from Friday through Sunday.

The Light of the Prophet is a new exhibit of paintings by renowned African artist Paul Cezanne that highlight the African American experience in the 20th century.

It will be at the National Museum on Wednesday, May 13.

The exhibit was announced at a ceremony on Monday.

The first of the five nights will be dedicated to Cezane and the American painter and artist, which will feature a performance by the Rev. James Wright.
